Focus & Features

Technology and associated cyber threats are evolving at an increasingly accelerated pace. What was once considered emerging or even futuristic is quickly being engrained into business processes and thus is being added to the radar and audit programs.

Participants will discover key considerations when beginning to audit topics, including digital transformation, multicloud strategy, storage minimalism and SSD data reduction, multifactor authentication with biometrics, smart contracts, AI in cybersecurity, augmented/virtual reality, data fabric in data analytics, and data/automation ethics.

At the end of the workshop, participants will have collaborated on developing a basic risk and control (R&C) matrix and user stories to help them improve their audit processes related to assessing these topics.

Course Objectives

  • Discover how each topic area is being integrated into organizations now.
  • Identify basic risks and controls related to each stated topic.
  • Explore how the R&C matrix can be revised to incorporate these topics.
  • Discuss key auditing procedures/user stories.
  • Develop user stories specific to each topic.
