Event Details

On the first CAE Forum, the discussion focused on the overall changes that the last two (2) years of immense disruptions have impacted government policies, consumer behavior, and organization's business model. This time, the spotlight will be on the specific impact of an adaptable organizational culture and effective talent management strategy on a successful disruptive innovation approach. Recently, organizations tend to focus on information technology โ€“ software and hardware, when tackling innovations, however, studies and risk assessment results revealed that an equivalent focus on the degree of employee adaptability to these disruptive innovations may benefit organizations in achieving their overall objectives.

Discussion Context:

  • Organizations' succession challenges and ability to attract and retain top talent while maintaining existing company culture in a tightening talent market may limit the ability to achieve operational targets.
  • Concerns that organizations may not have the talent and skills needed to successfully adapt company culture to support and leverage digital and virtual technologies and other emerging disruptions.
  • The tight labor market and the war for talent are triggering concerns about heightened labor costs as organizations try to compete in attracting and retaining a highly-skilled workforce needed for a successful disruptive innovation strategy.
