Based on the Risk in Focus 2023 qualitative survey published by the European Confederation of Institutes of Internal Auditors (ECIIA), Human Capital, Diversity, and Talent Management continue to be one of the most difficult challenges faced by businesses globally — ranked as second in 2023, up from fourth place in 2022. It is projected to retain its position for the next three years. The global pandemic, a heightened emphasis on gender, race, ethnicity, disability, and sexual orientation, and an increasing proportion of younger people in the workforce – seeking employers who offer greater flexibility, a more inclusive and innovative culture, and those who consider their personal values and psychological well-being, have led to a greater focus on employee recruitment, retention, and inclusion. However, some companies were not able to adapt quickly to these changes. As the expectations and priorities of the global workforce change rapidly, companies need to evolve their strategies to quickly adapt to changes to attract diverse talent, retain talent, and enhance employer brand.

In this session, the participants will learn the various challenges in shaping the new role of Human Resources and the strategies to deal with the new business needs of embracing diversity to manage talent in a diverse workforce.
